Your Transfer Case Output Shaft Seal is located on the transfer case on your four-wheel Nissan. The transfer case's job is to send power to the rear wheels on a four-wheel-drive vehicle using chain drives and gear reductions.
The transfer case output shaft on your vehicle joins the transfer case to the axle with the transmission's input shaft and utilizes the Transfer Case Output Shaft Seal to ensure that the connection is secure. Without a working Transfer Case Output Shaft Seal, transmission fluid would leak from the rear and front output shaft.
