Your Nissan comes with many tools to help you monitor your engine oil conditions. One of these tools is the Gauge Oil Level.
The oil level gauge assembly consists of a series of three major components — the sensor that connects back to one of the engine's main oilways, the gauge or dial on your dash that displays the pressure reading from the sensor, and a wire connecting the two parts.
Your Gauge Oil Level may be damaged by electrical failure, a collision, or prolonged exposure to extreme temperatures. Oil gauges do not require regular changes, but any damage calls for a replacement. After all, a failing Gauge Oil Level might give you "false" readings, leading you to believe something's wrong with your car when it isn't or failing to let you know when immediate services are required!
